One currency for every AI action. Each action has a fixed cost, your plan adds credits every month, and you decide who can spend them. Free has no credits and no AI.
Plans with credits add them to one shared pool every month. AI marking, integrity checks and Copyleaks scans are always paid from the pool.
Staff and learners use the pool for their own AI tools, such as Aurora and practice, up to a monthly allowance that billing admins control.
When a learner’s allowance runs out, they can buy personal credits with their own card. Personal credits belong to the learner and go with them.
Staff who reach their allowance can ask for more in one click. A billing admin approves or declines the request, and can buy organisation credit packs at any time.
Submissions, human marking, moderation, feedback release and exports never need credits, so billing can’t interrupt an assessment.
Plan credits roll over briefly; packs last much longer. We always spend what expires first.
Billing admins see what was used, by whom and for what, and each person can see their own usage.
Fixed credit costs for every AI action. Actions marked included use no credits but still need a plan that includes them.

Yes. Free costs £0, needs no card and never runs out. Every new centre starts on Free, with unlimited learners and staff and 50 GB of storage. It never turns read-only, and there is nothing to cancel.

No. Free has no AI and no EduMark Credits. Aurora, AI marking, AI course building, EduMark Integrity, practice and study modes come with Plus and Pro. Move up whenever you’re ready, and everything you made on Free carries straight over.
On Free, add as many learners as you like. On paid plans, you choose how many learner seats you need, and each enabled learner uses one. Archive a learner to free their seat; their records are kept. Staff are counted separately.
Free includes unlimited staff. Paid plans include staff seats in proportion to your learners, and you can add extra staff seats at any time.

We retry the card and let your billing admins know. Everything keeps working for 30 days from the first failed payment. If it’s still unpaid after that, AI features and adding people pause until it’s paid, while submissions, human marking, moderation, feedback release and exports carry on. Paying at any point restores everything straight away.
Yes. Cancel in Billing at any time and your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for. Then your centre moves to Free: your courses, learners and records stay, and you keep working. Only the paid features, such as AI, stop.
Yes. Upgrades and extra seats take effect straight away and are charged pro rata for the rest of the period. Downgrades and seat reductions take effect at your next renewal.
Monthly billing is rolling. Annual billing is paid upfront for twelve months at a lower price.
Plan prices and organisation credit packs exclude VAT, which is added to your invoice. Personal credit packs that learners buy include VAT.
Yes. For more than our self-service number of learners on a paid plan, or if you need procurement paperwork, talk to us and we’ll prepare a quote for your organisation.
No. The Developer API is a separate product for your own applications. It’s billed per completed operation from its own dashboard and doesn’t use EduMark Credits.
