This website
The only non-essential cookies on this site are optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics and PostHog), and they are set only if you accept them in the banner. If you reject them, nothing is stored on your device for analytics; PostHog may still count visits anonymously in its cookieless mode, without identifying you or recording your session. Rejecting changes nothing about how the site works. Forms on this site send exactly what they show you, to our CRM, so we can respond.
The EduMark platform
EduMark uses external AI services to prepare drafts and review evidence. Processing locations depend on the approved provider configuration; there is no blanket UK-only AI residency claim. See our AI sub-processor list for provider purposes, locations, retention terms and activation requirements. Educators decide final marks.
Marking memory
When a marker approves a mark, EduMark keeps a record of the question, a short excerpt of the answer, the approved mark and feedback, and how it differed from the AI draft. This helps AI drafts at the same organisation get closer to how its markers mark. If an organisation turns sharing on, EduMark also anonymises these records (removing names, the organisation, contact details and anything else identifying) and uses them to help AI-drafted marking at other organisations assessing the same qualification. Sharing is off by default. Any learner or member of staff can still keep their own work out of sharing, in Settings › Marking memory, and turning sharing off withdraws the anonymised examples straight away. The full platform Privacy Policy explains the lawful basis, safeguards and retention.
Learners under 18
Where an organisation enrols learners under 18, EduMark applies safeguarding-aware defaults and processes their assessment data under the organisation’s instructions as controller. Shared marking memory only ever uses anonymised examples, is off unless the organisation turns it on, and can be turned off again for all of its learners at any time.
